The examination is performed by Oleg Valenorievich Rogin, a physician specializing in ultrasound diagnostics.
Indications:
Ultrasound is recommended to be performed in the presence of the following symptoms and conditions:

Abdominal organs: abdominal pain or discomfort, especially in the right hypochondrium; feeling of heaviness after eating; bitterness in the mouth, belching, heartburn; nausea, vomiting, stool disorders; bloating; jaundice of the skin and eyes;

Kidneys and urinary system: lower back pain; urination disorders (rapid, painful); discoloration of urine; swelling of the face or extremities; history of urolithiasis;

Thyroid gland: thickening or enlargement in the neck; feeling of a lump in the throat; increased fatigue, irritability, sleep disorders; sweating, trembling of the hands; cardiac arrhythmias; unexplained weight changes.
- Mammary glands (for women): seals or nodules during self-examination; breast tenderness; change in breast shape or size; nipple discharge; enlargement of axillary lymph nodes; routine examination after 30 years.
Ultrasound is also included in the mandatory diagnostic program upon admission to sanatorium for the preparation of an individual treatment plan.

Ultrasound is one of the safest diagnostic methods. There are no absolute contraindications to ultrasound — the procedure can be performed at any age, including newborns, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
Relative restrictions (temporary):

Skin lesions in the study area (wounds, burns, extensive inflammation) — postpone until healing;

Urinary incontinence — for studies requiring a full bladder;

Acute infections with high fever should be postponed until the condition stabilizes.
