Salt baths
Salt baths in Nehama Sanatorium are a hydraulic procedure with a solution of sodium chloride. Warm water and salt support microcirculation and relax muscles. The procedure relieves the feeling of stiffness and fatigue. Suitable for adults and children with a doctor’s approval.
What is a salt bath?
This is a general or local bath with a dosed solution of table salt. The composition is selected by a specialist. Water creates a mild hydrostatic effect. The salt solution gives osmotic and thermal effect. The method refers to balneotherapy.
Indications:
- Degenerative dystrophic joint diseases as prescribed by a doctor;
- Chronic myofascial pain and muscle fatigue;
- Dermatological indications from the list for salt and mineralized baths. Psoriasis. Eczema. Dryness and itching without aggravation;
- Rehabilitation after injuries and operations of the musculoskeletal system. Including during the recovery period after fractures as prescribed by a doctor;
- Vegetative dysfunctions with impaired adaptation.
The final decision on admission is made by the doctor sanatorium.
Contraindications:

- Acute infections and high fever;
- Decompensated cardiovascular diseases.;
- Unstable angina;
- Recently suffered a heart attack;
- Severe hypertension;
- Active thrombosis, phlebitis, severe venous insufficiency in the acute stage;
- Malignant neoplasms;
- Severe blood diseases;
- Severe dermatoses with weeping and wound surfaces;
- Pregnancy and lactation without doctor’s permission;
- Individual intolerance to salt baths or water components.
